aCentauri Aletsch

World Solar Challenge, the toughest solar race in the world. Crossed the continent of Australia from north to south on pure solar energy and covered over 3000km.

It participated in the World Solar Challenge in Australia for the first time and finished - after only one year of intensive work from scratch. The young ETH team has done a tremendous job.

The solar racing car developed by students of ETH Zurich on their own initiative weighs 188kg, is 5m long, can travel at 80km/h on purely solar power (120km/h top speed) and would have a range of 400+ km when powered only by the buffer battery. As a development partner, we supported the team in design, concept and technical matters. From the early virtual phase, where we used our VR system to simulate access topics to the final race, where we were able to help in an emergency situation.

Case: optrel weldcap

Cutting-edge from the quiet countryside

optrel’s welding helmets initially launched them into pole position, but eventually, they became replaceable. Turning to Tribecraft, they were hoping for an outside perspective — and a global first.
