TRIBECRAFT

greets with punch cards

“Januarloch” - literally “January hole”- is a Swiss phrase for low activity in business and culture in January.

Although we didn’t send Christmas cards in our founding year, we did receive some. So to please our customers, friends and families we created a greeting card with a playful twist around the topic of “holes” – this gave birth to our “Januarlochkarte”, which we’ve been sending ever since.

Our first card, sent in January 2000

What we learn in the process: finding a fresh take on the topic every year anew. We’re grateful to our design interns who help bringing new perspectives to the project.

One thing the cards all have in common: they stand out when the recipient puts in a little effort.

We also like to play with words. Many of our customers are at home in the DACH region - but by no means all. The English version may unfold digitally.

Anyone who would like to receive a card too in the future is welcome to drop by for a coffee. Each card is signed personally with a greeting - which works better if we know who is getting it.
