Talks@Tribecraft: Learning from Great-Grandparents for Tomorrow - Combining Traditional Knowledge with New Tools for Circular Design.
Our great-grandparents used products for a long time, maintained and repaired them and generated little waste with everyday goods.
But romanticizing is deceptive, as soon as new accomplishments such as plastics and chemicals had attractive properties and functions, they were eagerly used and carelessly disposed of.
However, the knowledge of how to deal with traditional techniques and materials, coupled with todays processes and software tools, gives us a new perspective on circular products.
In our Talks, this potential shall be carved out in lectures and discussions. (talks will be in german mainly)
Before that, our studio is open for a visit: design and simulation tools are available to try.
